Geriatric Health online degree programs often feature gerontological services and studies, aging and communication, psychological aspects of aging, geriatric health management, anatomy and medical biostatistics, and retirement facility management. They typically also emphasize elder advocacy, adult development, and public policy. In the United States, geriatricians are primary care physicians who are board-certified in either family medicine or internal medicine and who have also acquired the additional training necessary to obtain the Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in geriatric medicine.
