Benefits

Benefit from NJIT's status as a pioneer in distance learning, and their continued excellence in online education. In the late 1970s, two NJIT professors created the software, and the teaching methods, used to support the first distance-learning classes, and thereafter the phrase, Virtual Classroom® was coined and copyrighted at NJIT. Since then NJIT's distance learning has evolved to incorporate the newest technologies and the most effective new ways to teach online. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report has named NJIT a top-tier research university for three consecutive years. Most classes are taught by professors who also conduct research, and thus you can be assured you will learn the most advanced and vital subject matter in your field. NJIT offers eight Master's of Science degrees in a number of concentrations within the expanding fields of technology and engineering. No matter which degree subject you choose, you will garner the skills you’ll need to work successfully in the 21st century global marketplace and benefit from a student-centered approach that encourages a high degree of student interaction.

Financial Assistance

The New Jersey Institute of Technology knows that paying for your education is an investment in yourself, and as such they have put together a comprehensive overview of financial aid for online graduate students. If eligible, you can receive federal Stafford loans for as much as $20,500 per academic year. There are also private loans and other graduate financial aid packages as well. Furthermore, there are less well known programs that adult students can apply to for financial assistance including the Lifelong Learning Accounts, the HOPE Scholarship Tax Credit, the Montgomery GI Bill and the New Post 9/11 GI Bill. The Financial Aid Office can help answer all of your questions and provide more information about these and other possible options.
